PETALING JAYA: The World Communications Forum Association (WCFA), based in Davos, Switzerland, has named Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Malaysia president Prof Mohd Said Bani CM Din to its Global Advisory Board.
Said Bani, who is also the managing director of bzBee Consult Sdn Bhd was chosen based on his vast expertise, vision and high ethical standards, which translates to passion for the advancement of the PR industry.
The announcement was recently made during the WCFA’s Annual General Assembly and was met with great enthusiasm by both the present executive committee and fellow members.
One of his most notable achievements is winning the “Asia-Pacific Best Public Relations Leader” award in 2022 by WCFA. He too had led bzBee Consult to win the WCFA Davos Communications Award – Global Communication Campaign in December last year for its client, Sarawak Tourism Board’s Rainforest World Music Festival
He received the award for successfully promoting a national brand on the international stage, making the company the first Malaysian agency to receive such an esteemed international public relations award.
This achievement also gave a significant stride in global standing for Malaysian public relations and communication agencies.
“The appointment is a testament to the digitalisation power that opened doors for recognition of local practitioners, while strengthening global networks.
“This opportunity allows practitioners to unite in enhancing the level of professionalism, ethics, and further showcasing that our local prowess is indeed at par with international standards,” he said, adding that he was grateful to his team at bzBee Consult, PRCA Malaysia and fellow practitioners for all their support.
Said Bani He hopes local companies, GLCs, and government agencies will give due recognition to the capabilities of homegrown PR agencies.
Meanwhile, President of WCFA Davos, Maxim Behar said he was happy to welcome Said Bani to the board and believed his expertise coupled with collective effort would help elevate the PR Industry to greater heights, globally.
