KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 5 (Bernama) — The upcoming Halal Fiesta 2011 (Halfest 2011) would be an avenue for Bumiputera entrepreneurs to explore opportunities to expand the market for their products as well as inspire them to continue to produce quality goods of international standards.
Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) in a statement today said its involvement in Halfest 2011 was part of its focus to strengthen the presence of Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the areas of manufacturing and food production.
With the Halfest 2011, MARA expects to create a platform for the entrepreneurs to establish strategic networks in their respective industries that would ultimately benefit their businesses, it said.
For this event, MARA has allocated 155 out of a total of 730 exhibition lots to MARA entrepreneurs as part of their efforts to motivate and encourage them to gain the exposure and experience in global marketing.
In conjunction with Halfest 2011 (Oct 11 and 12), MARA would be also holding seminars for the Bumiputera entrepreneurs at the Dewan Tun Hussein Onn in Putra World Trade Centre here.
The seminars will serve to provide the entrepreneurs information related to the growth in their business as well as the availability of MARA’s help in the development of halal related businesses.
It would also seek to expose them to the issues of market trends, quality packaging and branding.
